Govt to implement child labour act
Jammu, Apr 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir's Minister for Social Welfare Haji Nissar Ali today said that government is implementing Child Labour Act in letter and spirit to check the problems of child labour.
Replying to a question of Mrs. Farida Mir in Legislative Council on Saturday, the Minister said that about 7316 inspections were conducted during last four years where in 17 violations were detected. He said 33 prosecutions were launched against violation of the Act and a fine amounting to Rs 18500 was imposed on violators.
