Wokha to have Global University

Kohima, Apr 01: The first ever global university in Nagaland will be set up at Wokha, for which the Nagaland Assembly has passed the Global Open University of Nagaland Bill,2005, in the last budget session.

According to official sources here today Prof B R Trivedi visited Wokha on Thursday last and held a meeting where he said that the opening of the Global University at Wokha is to provide quality education and to facilitate the students in many ways because the courses are all job oriented.

He said students of Nagaland can save lakhs of rupees without going outside the state. The students will also benefitted in many ways because lecturers and staff will be appointed from the state.
