Getting bodies back to India a priority: Vayalar Ravi
Kochi, Apr 1 (UNI) All efforts are being made to bring back at the earliest, the bodies of the Indians who died in the Bahraini cruise ship capsize on Wednesday night, Union Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi said today.
Visiting the home of Mr Vasant Kumar from Kochi, who died in the mishap, he said the bodies will be brought back as soon as the formalities were over.
On the issue of compensation, he said this would be looked into later. The first priority was to bring the bodies back.
Of the total of 57 passengers confirmed dead so far, 18 had been identified as Indians.
