Five get lifer in murder case

Chitradurga, Karnataka, Apr 1 (UNI) The district and sessions court has convicted and sentenced five people to life imprisonment in connection with a murder case.

Judge M G Sundhra, who gave the verdict yesterday, also imposed a fine of Rs 45,000 on them.

The prosecution case was that N Vijay, Shekarappa, Basavappa, Cariappa and Dhanraj had hacked to death one Rangappa at Holalkere three years ago due to old enmity.

The Holalkere police registered a case and filed the chargesheet in the court.
