Day temperatures rise in NE, J

Pune, Apr 1 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir, North West and East Rajasthan, coastal Saurashtra, South Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and of Madhya Maharashtra.

They were above normal in Chattisgarh, in some parts of Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region, Konkan, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and in remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra and of Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, North Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, South Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh state, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar.
