CBI files FIR in Group Housing Scam
New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The CBI today filed FIR against five former officials of the registrar office in the multi-crore rupee Group Housing scam in the capital.
The FIR, registered in the court of Special CBI judge Vinod Goyal, named the then Registrar of Cooperative Societies R K Srivastava, the Joint Registrar Krishan Kumar, Assistant Registrar Yogi Raj and three other officials of the registrar office.
They are accused of having misused their official position to have fraudulently revived a group housing society registered in 1983 and taken a plot from the Government, causing loss to the exchequer.
The CBI had registered a case on March 20 last following a High Court directive.
