Bright sunny day in capital, mercury three degrees above normal

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The national capital today experienced a warm sunny day leaving Delhiites perspiring in the scorching heat.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 37 degrees Celsius, three degree above normal. The minimum temperature was, however, at its normal level of 18.3 degrees Celsius.

The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy day over the next 24 hours.

The BBC has, however, predicted sunny weather conditions will prevail in the capital over the next week.

Fresh spell of North Westerlies are likely to bring some comfort from the scorching heat, according to the BBC.
