Bomb scare turns out hoax
Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 1 (UNI) Police and Bomb disposal squads carried out a search in the Kerala University premises, following an anonymous letter received by the University office that bombs would explode in the office at 1100 hours today.
The letter was received by the university Registrar K A Hashim.
Acting promptly on information by the University authorities, the bomb disposal along with sriffor dogs will put to a squad throrough search at the offices of the Vice-Chancellor and Controller of Examinations.
However, the threat turned out to be a hoax, as no explosives were found, police said.
Secuity has been tightened in the university premises followig the threat.
