BoB merges two sponsored RRBs in Western UP
Mumbai, Apr 1: Bank of Baroda has merged its two sponsored regional rural banks (RRBs), Bareilly Kshetriya Gramin Bank and Shahjahanpur Kshetriya Gramin Bank, operating in the Western part of Uttar Pradesh, into a single RRB.
The new RRB, Western Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank, with its head office at Bareilly, has come into existence with effect from yesterday, as per the notification issued by the Government of India, a release issued by BoB here said.
This is the fourth merger of the bank of its sponsored RRBs.
With this, the number of sponsored RRBs of BoB has come down to six from 19, the release added.
