BJP Yatra to enter Maharashtra on Apr 9

Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) The 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra', led by former BJP President L K Advani will pass through Maharashtra in two phases-- between April 9 and 11 and April 20 and 21.

The yatra will enter Maharashtra on April nine at Achchad village, near Dahanu in Thane district, from Gujarat and it will be welcomed by party's State unit President Nitin Gadkari and senior leader Gopinath Munde.

BJP's General Secretary Pramod Mahajan will join Mr Advani for a day, a party release said today.

In its first phase, the yatra will pass through Dahanu, Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Khed, Baramati, Pune, Pandharpur and Solapur Lok Sabha constituencies and later enter Karnataka from Vijapur. Mr Advani will be addressing a series of public meetings.

In the second phase of the yatra, Mr Advani will re-enter the state at Bori in Yavatmal district from Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh and address meetings at Pandharkavada, Hinganghat, Nagpur, Bhandara, Lakhani Sakoli before goint to Chhattisgarh.
