500 Mw NTPC unit in UP starts production

Robertsganj, Apr 1 (UNI) The 500 Mw fourth unit of National Thermal Power Corporation's (NTPC) Rihand project today started commercial production.

With this, the combined generation capacity of Rihand Super Thermal Power Project has touched 2,000 Mw, official sources said here.

Since the fourth unit was completed on time, NTPC is now mulling over another 500 Mw unit to enhance the production capacity to 2,500 Mw.
