22 industrial projects cleared by HP govt
Shimla, Apr 1 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government today cleared 22 new proposals for setting up of industrial units, including the first maize processing unit in the state with an investment of Rs 256 crore.
State Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, presiding over the Single Window Clerance and Monitoring Authority here, said MG Industries has proposed to invest Rs 80 crore and would provide employment to 500 people, besides Sukhjit Starch Chemicals that would set up the first maize processing industry in the state.
He said the government would consider industrial housing projects as industrial projects, which would also be submitted for clearance to the Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority.
The government was giving added attention for the creation of best housing infrastructure in all the industrial areas of the state where housing had emerged the important requirement for the industrial workers, he said.
The chief minister said his government would examine all such proposals and ensure that best living conditions were provided to the industrial workers.
Mr Singh also directed the authorities to expedite the clearance of all such industrial housing proposals to provide best housing facilities to the industrial workers.
