Hyderabad, Apr 1: Alleging Rs 2000 crore scam in 26 irrigation projects in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh for creation of field channels and distributaries, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Secretary B Dattatreya today demanded convening of an all party meeting by the state Government.

The Government should place all files relating to the change of Internal Bench Mark (IBM) for the purpose from Rs 6,500 per acre to Rs 11,500 per acre and also cancel the Government Order MS No:23605 promulgated to legalise the IBM change after finalisation of tenders for these projects, he demanded at a press conference here.

Even as the state was rocked by the alleged Rs 400 crore fraud in the Sripadasagar project, the IBM change would push up this project's cost by another Rs 230 crore.

Alleging discrimination in the allocation of water for Telangana region, he said the Government had shown that with one TMC water 10,000 acres could be irrigated in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

But in the case of Telangana, it had claimed that 25,000 acres could be irrigated with one TMC water.
