'Thejas' daily launches new edition

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 31 (UNI) The Thiruvananthapuram edition of 'Thejas' Malayalam daily was launched by All India Milli Council General Secretary Muhammed Manzoor Alam by presenting a copy to senior journalist and human rights activist B R P Basker at a function here today.

This is the second edition of the newspaper which started publication from Kozhikode on January 26 last.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Alam urged the newspaper to highlight the issues of the marginalised section of the society and work for their empowerment.

'Thejas' Managing Editor E Aboobacker presided over the function and Managing Director K M Ashraf welcomed the gathering.
