Slight intensity quake in Uttaranchal

New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale shook a seismic hot zone in the lower Himalayas this evening, the Met office said.

The slight intensity quake at 1712 hrs was felt near Chamoli, Uttaranchal, which was rocked by a major earthquake a few years ago.

There were no reports of damages due to the quake.
