Reduction in AC higher class fares effective from tomorrow
New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) Airconditioned two tier and AC-first class fares in mail and express trains, including the Rajdhani Express, will stand reduced with effect from tomorrow.
However, there is no change in fares for any class of the Shatabdi, Janshatabdi and passenger trains, a railway release here today said.
In case of AC-two tier and AC-first class tickets which have already been issued at the pre-revised rates, the difference in fares shall be refunded on production of the ticket at any PRS terminal upon surrendering the original ticket. A fresh ticket will be issued keeping the reservation status intact.
The passenger could also avail of the refund after completion of the journey. In this case, the refund shall be granted at the destination within three days of the completion of journey, and the passenger will have to submit the original ticket to the Chief Commercial Manager (Refunds) along with an application.
