Raymond's new plant at Vapi inaugurated

Surat, Mar 31: Raymond Limited's new plant for manufacturing worsted suiting fabric was inaugurated by chairman of the company Gautam Hari Singhania yesterday at Vapi.

Vapi plant will have an integrated facility from spinning upto finishing fabric and will have a capacity to produce three million meters per annum.

This wiil make the total annual production of the fabric of the company into 31 million meters per annum.

According to chairman of the company, Vapi plant will be expanded at the cost of Rs. 197 crores by April next year.

''The company is moving forward as planned along the paths of becoming a world-class integrated textile player through putting up world class manufacturing capacity and partnerships with internationally reputed premium players,'' Mr Singhania said through an official release.
