Mineral exploration by MECL

New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) National Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd. (MECL), a public sector unit of the Ministry of Mines, has carried out 1,60,108 meters (m) of drilling and 7,162 m of developmental mining during April, 2005 to February 2006 against targets of 1,53,990 m and 5,610 m respectively.

It carried out 1,50,485 m of drilling and 5,731 m of developmental mining during the same period last year.

The company has carried out 14,285 m of drilling and 608 m of developmental mining in February 2006, an official release said today.
