KMC approves budget amid noisy scenes

Kolhapur, Mar 31 (UNI) The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) today approved the budget for the year 2006-2007, which shows the revenue receipts at Rs 185.21 crore against the expenditure of Rs 185.08 crore, amid noisy protests.

The budget was approved at the general body meeting held today which was presided over by mayor Sai Kharade.

Noisy scenes were, however, witnessed over the decision to hand over administration of a civic swimming pool to a private party and also over poor budgetary provisions for the development of the suburbs.
