Ivory Coast rebels accept military talks offer
ABIDJAN, Mar 30 (Reuters) Ivory Coast rebels said today they were accepting a government offer to open a military dialogue in the latest sign of progress in a U.N-backed peace process.
The proposed April 1 talks in the political capital Yamoussoukro -- the first of their kind since July 2005 -- were expected to focus on key issues such as disarmament, a shared military command and the formation of a new national army.
