Four shops gutted in Kullu

Kullu, Mar 31 (UNI) Four shops were gutted in a devastating fire that broke in Tibetan market of Kullu town in Himachal Pradesh at midnight last night, but no loss of life was reported in the incident, police today said.

The fire, which destroyed property estimated to be over Rs six lakh, was reported at about 0030 hrs late yesterday.

Police said fire men and local people battled with the fire for over one and a half hour before bringing it under control.

Short circuit might be the cause of the fire, police said, adding that a case has been registered and investigations were on.
