DTC bus driver stabbed, conducted hurt in attack

New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) The driver and conductor of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus were today injured after an attack by miscreats in Jehangirpuri area of East Delhi this morning.

The assailants, numbering five, later fled the spot, said sources.

Raju, driver of the DTC bus running on route 333 (Jehangirpuri to Anand Vihar Bus Terminus) who was stabbed in the stomach and arms, has been admitted to the LNJP Hospital.

The conductor also received injuries when he was attacked by an iron rod.

Quarrel erupted at about 1000 hrs in 'E' Block area of Jehangirpuri when the conductor asked the five boys to buy tickets which they refused.

Police later said a case has been registered and efforts were on to nab the culprits.
