Airtel redefines broadband experience for its customers
Bangalore, Mar 31 (UNI) The Airtel, one of the leading private sector providers of telecommunication services in the country, today introduced the Airtel NetXpert, the most advanced automated broadband care applications for the first time in the country, for the benefit of its customers.
Talking to newspersons here, Airtel Broadband and Telephone Services Chief Executive Officer Prem Pradeep said NetXpert was brought to the country in association with California-based SuperSoft, a leading provider of Real-Time Service Management Software designed to automatically resolve IT technical problems for enterprises.
He informed that NetXpert was a suite of three services, the Airtel NetXpert Installer, Airtel NetXpert Agent and Airtel NetXpert Chat, and it was set to redefine the broadband experience for customers. The new software product, to be provided to free of cost to its TouchTel customers, offered 20 different tariff plans depending on the customers' need.
Mr Pradeep said while the NetXpert installer could automatically determine if a customer's computing system qualifies for a high-speed connection and enable him to easily self-install his broadband Internet service, NetXpert Agent could diagnose problems and provide automated solutions to top issues that a subscriber might face and NetXpert Chat could enable customers to have online conversation with Airtel customer care executives to respond to questions or issues in real time.
He said the technology for Airtel NetXpert from SuportSoft was being successfully used by over 38 million broadband customers worldwide. The broadband penetration in India was fast growing and according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India there were over one million broadband users in the country now, he added.
