Woman killed in fire

Imphal, Mar 30 (UNI) A 97-year old woman was killed in a fire that broke out at Bishenpur Ward No one near here last night.

Police said goods worth about Rs 5 lakhs were also damaged in the fire.

The woman identified as M Mani could not be saved as she was bedridden and she could not come out on her own. Fire service personnel tried their best to control the situation, but could not do anything.

Two houses were completely burnt and police was inquiring into the causes of the fire.
