University to launch EDUSAT programme in border villages
Amritsar, Mar 30 (UNI) Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), one of Punjab's premier Universities, will launch an EDUSAT programmes in order to spread education in remote, rural and border areas of the state.
A sum of Rs 1.87 crores had been made allocated for this ambitious programme, Dr S P Singh, Vice-Chancellor announced here today.
He said this facility would benefit a large section of students including women-folk in all the areas particularly the border belt under the University's jurisdiction.
