Two minor girls rescued from city brothels
Mumbai, Mar 30 (UNI) Two minor girls from West Bengal, forced into prostitution, were today rescued by the city police and three persons, including two women, arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip off, police raided a hotel situated in Colaba here and rescued the two minor girls.
The girls had been brought from West Bengal under the pretext of providing them jobs in the metropolis, police said. They were, however, sold to brothels here.
Police have arrested two women -- Sangeeta Patil (21) and Suchita Paswan (24) and a third person, who has been identified only as Ramesh, in this connection.
