Shiv Kapur thrills at Netlink golf
New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Asian Tour Rookie of 2005 Shiv Kapur thrilled the gathering at the inaugural NetLink Invitational Golf Series 2006 at the Golden Greens Golf Resort, Gurgaon over this weekend.
The 24-year-old Delhi pro played one hole with each of the fourballs invited for the event.
Kapur played the par-3 16th hole with the invited players and the contest was called "Beat the Pro". In fact as many as six players, including the hugely talented Meghna Bal, hit the ball closer to the pin than Kapur on the 16th. The others to hit the ball closer were Puja Batra, Rajesh Jindal, Meghna Bal, Larry Malarkar, Ian Kydd and Anil Sethi.
Kapur, who has committed to playing the event in 2007 also, said, ''The experience was very good and some of the amateurs played very high quality golf. Also Netlink provided all of us with a superb platform for interaction and a great golfing day.'' The main Netlink Invitational event for the invited corporates was won by Ashish Bhartram's team. His team included brother, Kartik Bharat Ram, Harish Gupta and Aditya Tripathy.
