Rakesh Mehta becomes Delhi Transco CMD

New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Mr Rakesh Mehta today took over as Chairman and Managing Director of Delhi Transco Ltd.

An 1975 batch IAS officer, Mr Mehta, takes over as Transco CMD, in place of Mr Arun Goyal, who had moved to a central government posting.

He also serves as Principal Secretary (Health and Power) with Delhi government.

Mr Mehta had served Delhi government in various capacities.

During the initial years of his career he was SDM of Delhi for Jama Masjid and Kingsway camp.

He also held the posts of Commissioner Municipal Corporation of Delhi, CMD Delhi Transport Corporation and Development Commissioner, Delhi.
