Property of Jehanabad jail escapees seized

Jehanabad, Mar 30 (UNI) In a bid to enforce compliance with the court order in the infamous Jehanabad jail break case, Jehanabad and Arwal police have so far seized property and belongings of 50 of the total 93 jail escapees declared as absconders.

Speaking to mediapersons today, Jehanabad Superintendent of Police B S Meena said some of the notorious absconders, whose property have been attached, included dreaded Maoist Ajay Kanu alias Ravi, Anil Yadav, Binda Bind, Shankar Singh, Suresh Yadav, Khiladi Dome, Chandeshwar Sanyasi and Jugal Singh.

The operation was carried out in over a dozen villages under different police stations in Jehanabad and Arwal districts during the last five days.

The SP said police teams have also been dispatched to neighbouring districts like Patna, Bhojpur and Aurangabad to conduct seizure process against the absconding jail escapees belonging to the three districts.

The operation seizure will be completed in the next 4-5 days, the SP said, adding the Jehanabad police have widened their dragnet in their hunt for all the 93 jail escapees.
