Priyadarshini Rao unveils her designs at LFW
Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) A textile and fashion design graduate Priyadarshini Rao, who launched her label in 1997 with a range of women's wear and in 1999 launched the men's wear, today presented a wide ranging creations here.
Her collection had drawn inspiration from that of the post World War II years of austerity and the magical realism of noted South American novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
The collection attempted to create a look with separate pulled together, much like how someone would hurriedly throw on a shrug or a jacket over a mismatched tee and a skirt. The idea was to thread different languages into a story, a careless discord that was almost surreal. Detailing was minimal and premium fabrics were generally used.
