New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Reacting to the government's decision to reconvene the Parliament session, the BJP today said the move only vindicated the party's stand that the sole purpose behind adjourning Parliament sine die was to ''save one particular person'' through an Ordinance.

Welcoming the decision of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (UPA) to reconvene Parliament from May 10 to 23, BJP Spokesman Arun Jaitley said the one fundamental question still remained unanswered: ''Why was Parliament adjourned sine die?'' He said once the Government was caught red handed, it abandoned the ordinance route realising that one cannot play fraud on the constitution. "Had the government followed a straight route on the office of profit, through a bill introduced in Parliament, the country could have avoided an unnecessary debate going on for the last 15 days,'' he said.

He said the BJP will comment on the proposed bill after going through the draft.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi too, avoided a direct answer on the issue but commented that the Congress' attempts to throw stones at other parties had forced the present situation.

He said that ironically, the actions of Mr Madan Mohan Shukla, a small time Congress worker, not only disqualified Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachahan but also took the toll on his own party Chief.
