Kannadigas celebrate Ugadi

Bangalore, Mar 30 (UNI) People across Karnataka today celebrated Ugadi, marking the beginning of the new year in Kannada calender ''Vyaya''.

People from all walks of life visited the temples attaired in new clothes and exchanged ''Bevu-Bella'' (neem and jaggery) symbolising sharing of sweet and sour and celeberated the new year with traditional gaiety.
