Infiltration will not be tolerated: Sonia

Nazaria, Mar 30 (UNI) AICC Chairperson Sonia Gandhi today declared that no infiltration will be tolerated in the country and at the same time genuine Indians will not be harrased.

''Minorities will be protected and all infiltrators detected in the country through tribunals,'' she said while addressing a huge election rally here.

Reiterating the Congress's commitment towards peace, Mrs Gandhi said the party has always been a campaigner for peace. ''But some political parties are trying to destabilise the ongoing peace in the North East for political gains,'' she lamented.

She is on a day-long tour of Asom to campaign for her party in the forthcoming assembly polls.

Earlier, she addressed an election meeting at Silchar in Barak valley district.

The UPA Chairperson is also likely to address meetings at Tinsukia in upper Asom and Chaygaon in lower Asom before leaving for Delhi this evening.
