India-Mexico sign MoU for development of MSMEs

New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) India and Mexico signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to increase and strengthen commercial ties between the two countries for achieving mutually beneficial economic development and employment generation.

The MoU was signed in Mexico yesterday by Mr Mahabir Prasad, Union Minister for Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries and Mr Sergio A Garcia De Alba Zepeda, Minister of Economy on behalf of the Ministry of Economy of United Mexican States.

The two countries will jointly evaluate and share information in order to facilitate joint ventures, licensing, subcontracting and commercial alliances and distributorship opportunities between Mexican and Indian MSMEs.

The MoU provides for cooperation in the development of trade between MSMEs of both the sides, exchange of information on best practices for the promotion and development of MSME's international trade and device strategies, practices and procedures to facilitate trade between MSMEs of the United Mexican States and the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Ministry of Agro&Rural Industries, India, according to an official release here today.
