Delhi EFC clears 5 projects worth Rs 216 cr
New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Delhi government's Expenditure Finance Committee today gave its nod to five projects amounting to Rs 216 crore for the national capital.
One project of Revenue Department and four proposals of Public Works Department were cleared in a meeting of the EFC held under the chairmanship of Delhi Finance and Planning Minister A K Walia.
Later, Dr Walia said one of the projects included puting up a grade separator at Mukarba Chowk that would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 195 crore within 30 months after award of work.
Mukarba Chowk was one of the busiest junctions and was the entry gate from the North to the city, he added.
The grade separator would provide free-flow of traffic and prevent congestion of heavy volume of traffic coming from Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and rural area of Delhi on ring road.
