Delegation of financial powers for 2 Ministers enhanced

New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today approved enhancement of delegation of financial powers for the Defence Minister and Finance Minister to expedite early approval of various schemes under the delegated powers.

The delegation of financial powers of the Defence Minister have been increased from Rs 50 crores to 100 crores and that of the Finance Minister from Rs 100 crores to Rs 200 crores, Union Parliamentary Affaris Minister P.R.Dasmunsi told a press conference here .

The enhancement of the existing delegation of financial powers is meant for sanction of schemes,projects and acquisition of non-scaled and new items, Mr Dasmunsi said.
