Day temperatures rise in Kashmir, NE

Pune, Mar 30 (UNI) Heatwave conditions prevailed in some parts of coastal Saurashtra.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Kashmir and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Kutch, Konkan and Goa, coastal Tamil Nadu, remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya and were above normal in some parts of Madhya Maharashtra and in remaining parts of West Bengal and Sikkim and of Konkan and Goa.

They were appreciably below normal in North West Madhya Pradesh and were below normal in some parts of Orissa, Haryana, Punjab and of East Rajasthan.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were markedly below normal in North Gujarat region.

They were appreciably below normal in extreme North Madhya Maharashtra, some parts of South West Rajasthan and South interior Karnataka.

They were below normal in East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, North Orissa and East Uttar Pradesh.

They were appreciably above normal in Sikkim, in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and in remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and were above normal in North West Rajasthan, in some parts of Haryana, Kashmir and Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar and at a few places in coastal Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka state and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar.
