Chhattisgarh assembly adjourned sine die
Raipur, Mar 30 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha today adjourned sine die after a 46 day long budget session.
During the session, state finance minister Amar Agrawal presented the budget for fiscal 2006-07 and announced introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) system in the state from April 1.
Naxalite violence in Bastar region mainly dominated the discussions during the session, which had 30 rpt 30 sittings.
In his concluding remarks, speaker Prem Prakash Pandey indicated that the monsoon session could be held from July 12 to July 21.
