Budget session of Bengal assembly declared prorogued from March 22
Kolkata, Mar 30 (UNI) The budget session of the West Bengal Assembly, which began on February two, has been declared prorogued with effect from March 22.
A government notification to this effect was issued here today by the Secretary of the West Bengal Legislative Assenmbly.
Incidentally, as election for the 294 member state assembly is slated for next month, only a Vote-on-Account for the first four months of the next financial year was passed in the house during the session along with a number of other bills.
The term of the present house will expire on June 13.
