Bomb hoax near AIIMS

New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) A minor stampede occured near Safdarganj Hospital in South Delhi this afternoon after an abandoned briefcase was found near a public convenience there.

However, after search of the briefcase police declared the scare as a 'hoax' after about half an hour, according to sources.

Panic was created after someone noticed a briefcase lying near a public convenience, opposite AIIMS and next to Safdarjung Hospital at about 1330 hrs.

People started running helter skelter on hearing about the 'bomb'.

The bomb disposal squad was later called which declared it as a 'hoax' after carrying asearch of the briefcase.
