U.S. stocks rise at open on profit outlook

NEW YORK, Mar 29 (Reuters) U.S. stocks rose on Wednesday on hopes that corporate profit growth would stay strong despite the Federal Reserve's indication it may keep raising interest rates longer than expected.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up 26.02 points, or 0.23 per cent, at 11,180.56. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was up 3.15 points, or 0.24 per cent, at 1,296.38. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 7.33 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 2,311.79.
