Survey of chicken in three villages
Badwani, MP, Mar 29 (UNI) A survey of number of chicken will be carried out in three villages in Badwani district, adjoining Gujarat, in view of bird flu threat.
Collector Arun Tiwari said special teams had been dispatched to survey Belghat, Rajangaon and Dhamnia villages, coming within 10 km area of bird flu-affected area.
Mr Tiwari said during survey it will be clear whether other villages came under purview.
The report will be sent to Animal Husbandry department. A decision regarding culling will be taken on the basis of report.
More than 6,000 chicken were culled today following detection of bird flu strain at Ichhapur in Burhanpur district.
