Silver climbs to new peak, gold steady on moderate demand

Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Prices of silver climbed to a new peak at Rs 15,755 per kg while gold remained steady at Rs 8,240 per ten gm today on moderate demand in the closing session, traders at the bullion market here said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 15,755 (15,710), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,200 (8,200), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 8,240 (8,240).
