SI suspended for misusing govt funds

Chitradurga, Mar 29 (UNI) A Sub-Inspector of Police, attached to the Hosadurga police station, was today placed under suspension for misusing the fine amount collected for violation of traffic rules.

The District Superintendent of Police issued the order against S K Krishnappa, pending departmental inquiry.

Police said Krishnappa had absconded with the funds a few weeks ago, when a criminal case was booked against him for misusing government funds. However, he was arrested yesterday and produced before the district and sessions court judge who remanded him in judicial custoday for seven days.
