S C Gupta appointed Vice Chairman of India

Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Punjab National Bank's Chairman and Managing Director S C Gupta has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) for a period of one year.

Mr Gupta, who started his banking career from the State Bank of India in 1966, recently held the post of President of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, an IBA release today said.

He is also the Chairman of PNB Gilts, PNB Housing Finance, Chairman, Governing Board of IBPS, Director, Export Import Bank of India, Director Agriculture Finance Corporation and headed the IBA Committee on Vision-Banking 2010.
