Ramsarup Industries expects to surpass Rs 100 crore mark
Kolkata, Mar 29 (UNI) Ramsarup Industries Limited, one of the leading and broad-based producers of steel wires in the country, expected its export in 2006-07 to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark, according to company sources here today.
The company also expected the turnover to go up to Rs 1,250 crore next year.
Ramsarup Industries Limited had already bagged export orders worth Rs 25.10 crore (Japan - Rs 15.60cr, Africa - Rs 4.50 cr, Bangladesh 3 cr and Bhutan Rs 2 cr).
The company had been growing quite rapidly and steadily over the years. Its total income had jumped from Rs 230.95 crore in 2001-02 to Rs 877.54 crore during 2004-05 and profits after Tax during the same period had shot up from Rs 2.54 crore to Rs.13.67 crore.
During the first nine months ended December 31, 2005, the company had earned a PAT of Rs 21.21 crore on an income Rs 697.66 crore. The total turnover during the current year ending March 31,2006, was estimated to cross Rs 1,000 crore and exports to touch Rs 15 crore.
The industry recently entered the capital market to part finance its plan to expand its product profile and was setting up a structural mill with an installed capacity of 1,35,000 tonne per annum at Shyamnagar in West Bengal.
This will allow the company to offer a complete bouquet of products for the power transmission and distribution industry.
