Police seize condoms meant for public distribution from pvt godown

Aurangabad, Mar 29 (UNI) Stock of condoms worth Rs 6.39 lakh meant for public distribution under the government scheme has been seized and three people arrested for alleged involvement in the resale, city police said here today.

Acting on a tip-off, the Osmanpura police yesterday raided a godown situated in Patoda Shivar. They seized a vehicle and have registered an offence against the trio as well as the owners of Devgiri Latex Priavte Ltd to whom the stock was to be supplied, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sudhir Dabhade said.

Mr Dabhade said Foods and Drugs Administration (FDA) officials who were also present during the raid have taken samples of the condoms from the site to carry out further investigation.
