Pinaka testfired thrice from ITR

Balasore, Mar 29 (UNI) The indigenously built multi-barrel rocket launcher ''Pinaka'' was successfully testfired thrice for the second day today from the Proof and Establishment of the Integrated Test Range(ITR) at Chandipur-on-Sea, about 15 kms from here.

ITR sources said the rocket with a range of 39 kms, was testfired at 1445 hours, 1529 hours and finally at 1602 hours.

Yesterday also the Pinaka was successfully testfired twice from the Proof and Establishment of the ITR.

'Pinaka' has the capability to fire 12 rockets in 44 seconds.
