NC candidate Mustafa Bhat re-elected Mayor of SMC

Srinagar, Mar 29 (UNI) National Conference (NC) candidate Ghulam Mustafa Bhat was today re-elected Mayor of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) here.

A spokesman of the SMC said Mr Bhat polled 44 votes against his nearest rival Sadiq who got 17 votes while one vote was rejected.

Earlier, National Conference General Secretary Sheikh Nazir Ahmad had issued a whip to party corporators to vote in favour of Mr Bhat in the 62 member corportion.
