Mixed land use notification too late too little: Dr Mukhi
New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Jagdish Mukhi today criticised the notification on mixed land use saying it has come very late in the day and will bring relief to very few people.
The central government could notify the amendments much earlier as Delhi Lt Governor B L Joshi had given his assent to affecting the changes long ago, he said.
The present notification was a politically motivated document as it was deliberately delayed, he added.
Responding to concerns over court-ordered sealing of shops in residential areas, he said the Urban Development Ministry had yesterday notified a new mixed land use policy for the national capital.
According to the seven-page notification, mixed use would be allowed on ground floor in residential plots facing streets/roads of minimum 18 metres width (13.5 metres in rehabilitation colonies and nine meters in special area and villages).
